The Nappanee Theatre, originally named Fairy Theatre, first opened its doors in 1926 in Nappanee. In 1936, ownership changed but the theatre remained open for both live shows and movies. It underwent remodeling and stayed open seven nights a week, boasting a new neon sign outside. Though the theatre's name has been updated, the original name is still reflected in the mosaic tiles around the box offices. Presently, the theatre is under independent ownership and screens movies on weekends.
